We Have To Have A Plan

Last Saturday I went to Ikea to do some client shopping for an upcoming project.

I wasn’t in the store two minutes before I became completely overwhelmed. Too many things and too many choices caused some major anxiety. I was glad I had my shopping list to keep focused.

Same goes with your home. When you come home do you see too much clutter? Do you go to your closet and see too many clothes (that you most likely don’t even wear)? Are your kitchen cabinets and drawers stuffed to overflowing? Is your pantry an unorganized mess so much so that you decide to order out instead? Do you just plop on the couch and say “oh forget it”? Sound familiar?

It’s important to have a plan and a system in place to help guide you. Whether it’s a big thing like running a home business or a small thing like grocery shopping, going in unprepared can cause anxiety, overspending, mindless purchases, guilt, and so on…

Are You Ready for Spring?

Spring Cleaning is around the corner, are you ready?

I always have one main project that I like to accomplish during Spring Break. This year I’m tackling and organizing our garage! I cannot wait to show you the before and afters….we’ve started already, and it’s turning out so well, we are almost there!!

 

My biggest request each spring: Pantry Organization

Pantry, kitchen, and fridge organization are probably my top requests each spring. Here are my favorite items to use!

Can Stackers and Risers!

Can stackers not only save space, they use up all the vertical space on your shelves. These and can risers are my favorite to use for canned goods. Find these can risers at The Container Store.

Lazy Susans

Poor lazy susans get a bad rap…they are the hardest working organizers ever. I have them all over my home!

Refrigerators Need Spring Cleaning too!

I use these divided lazy susans in my fridge too! Keep your cold snacks handy with just a twirl!

Bins and labels are a must  when organizing a pantry or fridge. They help you and your family know exactly where things are, and when you need more!

A Note From Lisa

Hi all, it’s been a while!

I’ve been so busy helping my clients that I’ve neglected my blog. I’m hoping to change that this spring! I am still teaching two days a week and will retire from my teaching years in May. I love organizing and helping my clients, so I will be a full time Neat Freak as of June 1!
